What is Christian Science?
Christian Science is the path that Jesus taught his followers to walk over 2,000 years ago and what Mary Baker Eddy brought to light once again in the 19th century. She named her discovery a "Science" because its rules can be applied and proved in everyday life. The Bible is central to Christian Science as this quote indicates.
The Bible was my textbook. It answered my questions as to how I was healed; but the Scriptures had to me a new meaning, a new tongue. Their spiritual signification appeared; and I apprehended for the first time, in their spiritual meaning, Jesus’ teaching and demonstration, and the Principle and rule of spiritual Science and metaphysical healing, — in a word, Christian Science.
I named it Christian, because it is compassionate, helpful, and spiritual.

Christian Science is a practical religion that recognizes healing to be the action of God, Spirit – not of the human mind. It shows us how to spiritualize our thought and yield to the Christ, which in turn harmonizes individual lives and the community. You can delve into a number of healings which have been verified and are happening throughout the world, by visiting jsh.christianscience.com.
We welcome you to take a journey with us to greater understanding of God's nature as divine Principle, Love; as Mind, Soul, Spirit, Life and Truth. As taught in Christian Science, these seven synonyms help us to know God better and are frequently referred to in our textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy.
