Gifts and the Christmas Spirit

Love, joy, peace, hope, generosity and good will—these qualities, and more, are considered the Christmas spirit. Learn the deep spiritual nature of these qualities which epitomize the nativity of Christ Jesus and his teachings. Jesus showed that all of us, as God’s spiritual children, express them also.

Gift giving and the Christmas spirit will be covered in our readings from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures this Wednesday, December 13, at 7:30 pm at Brookdale in Glen Ellyn,

The spiritual gifts God gives His children are above and beyond what we may imagine humanly. Gift giving among family and friends expresses the rich love and tender care God gives his children. Jesus taught us so much about this, shown in the healing works he did.

Jesus mapped out the path for others. He unveiled the Christ, the spiritual idea of divine Love.

Out of the amplitude of his pure affection, he defined Love.

The quotes above are from our textbook Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, the discoverer and founder of Christian Science. (p. 38:24–26 and p. 54:3–4)

Join us in person this Wednesday at 60 Nicoll Way in Glen Ellyn. Or, get the Zoom link here. And, have a blessed Christmas!
