No holiday time crunch

And you run, and you run to catch up with the sun

But it's sinking

Racing around to come up behind you again

Above are some of the lyrics from the Pink Floyd song Time*. The song as a whole does a rather complete job of describing all the issues associated with the concept of time. Unsurprisingly, the song is completely depressing, brilliant but depressing.

Time seems to be an even bigger issue around the Christmas holiday season. Our pastor, the Bible and the book Science & Health with Key to the Scriptures (by the discoverer and founder of our church, Mary Baker Eddy) have a lot to say about the subject of time.

This Wednesday, we will hear readings from our pastor which address the subject of time, and we promise it won’t be depressing! Rather, it will be time well-spent—helping us deal with the limitations, anxiety, and fear that time puts upon us. This meeting will not be a time management session, but rather a session that shows how we can take a spiritual approach to living, and make time far less significant in our lives.

Time for testimonies of healing will be given after the readings. You can find us at 7:30 pm, in the public meeting room at Brookdale of Glen Ellyn. It’s located at 60 Nicoll Way, just north of Roosevelt Road. The receptionist can point you in the right direction.

Get the Zoom link here if you can’t join us in person.
