Sing. Pray. Listen. Discover.

In these important aspects of worship you will find the "gentle presence" of God, spoken of in this hymn by Mary Baker Eddy, the discoverer and founder of Christian Science: “O gentle presence, peace and joy and power; O Life divine, that owns each waiting hour, Thou Love that guards the nestling’s faltering flight! Keep Thou my child on upward wing tonight.”

Our books: The Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.

The Christian Science Pastor

Two books: the Holy Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.

Understand. Prove. Share.

First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Glen Ellyn is a branch of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston, Massachusetts. We provide services and activities with a healing purpose, based on the Bible and writings of Mary Baker Eddy. We hope you will come and be inspired with us. The service includes hymns, a scriptural selection, silent prayer and the Lord's prayer with its spiritual interpretation, announcements, musical solo, Bible lesson-sermon, voluntary collection and closing benediction.

About our Pastor

Our dual Pastor is two books you can keep with you throughout the week. We elect Readers to present and read from these two books–the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures–by Mary Baker Eddy. In them you can find comforting, healing answers to large or small problems in everyday life.

Read our blog post 26 Subjects–Infinite Possibilities here. You can also study the Bible Lesson Sermon throughout the week and cherish its transforming and comforting power. It’s published in the Christian Science Quarterly. Listen to the lesson and also access the weekly podcast Sentinel Watch, by phone in the Chicago area at 630-929-5635.
