God performs our appointed task

Doing the healing works Jesus exemplified may seem like an impossible task. But rest assured, in Jesus’ own words this power is given to all who believe.

... these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. (Mark 16:17 these, 18)

So when we “let go and let God”, as the popular phrase encourages, we can expect God to perform His works in all sorts of ways. The book of Job puts it like this:

For he performeth the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with him. (Job 23:14)

There is a Science to this healing work and we can learn to apply its divine Principle in every situation. It’s found in Christian Science, discovered by Mary Baker Eddy in the nineteenth century and practical today.

We will dig deeper into this topic at our Wednesday Testimony Meeting on March 4, 2026. Come to Brookdale in Glen Ellyn or join us by Zoom at 7:30 pm. Hope to see you there!
