Be still
In a busy world a lot of things seem to be clamoring for our attention. It is in the still moments that we feel a quiet connection with God, who is ever near.
Be still, and know that I am God:
(Psalms 46:10)The calm and exalted thought or spiritual apprehension is at peace.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, p. 506)So shall it ever be in the bright morning,
When hearts awakening see the shadows flee,
O, in that hour, and fairer than the dawning,
Rises the glorious thought, I am with Thee.
(Christian Science Hymnal No. 317)
Join us this Wednesday, June 3, for our Testimony Meeting, where you will hear readings from the Bible, as well as passages from the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health, with key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy. There is also time for attendees to share healings and inspiration, and quiet time as well.
Our meeting is held in person at Brookdale of Glen Ellyn, at 7:30 pm. You can also join us by Zoom. Everyone is welcome to attend our meeting.
