Fashioned by God
There is a difference between the human knowledge of anatomy and what Christian Science describes as spiritual anatomy. The latter is concerned with quality of thought, as Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures—the Christian Science textbook—explains in this passage:
Anatomy, when conceived of spiritually, is mental self-knowledge, and consists in the dissection of thoughts to discover their quality, quantity, and origin. Are thoughts divine or human? That is the important question. (Science and Health, page 462)
This week our readings from the Bible and Christian Science textbook, given at our Wednesday, July 23 Testimony Meeting, will bring out ideas on the subject of how man is fashioned in God’s likeness—a spiritual creation, not a material body.
Our meeting is for the community and begins at 7:30 pm (Central). We will share inspiration and testimonies of healing, as well as the readings. Join us in person at Brookdale of Glen Ellyn or by Zoom. Everyone is always welcome.
