Fruits of Gratitude
Shall we plead for more at the open fount, which is pouring forth more than we can accept? The unspoken desire does bring us nearer the source of all existence and blessedness.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, page 2)
Gratitude is very powerful! Remembering to acknowledge what we have and expressing our gratitude opens the way for a higher understanding of God’s loving care for us. It allows us to be receptive to more of His blessings.
For sin destroyed, for sorrow healed, for health and peace restored;
For Life and Love by Truth revealed, we thank and bless the Lord.
(Christian Science Hymnal, No. 342)
Join us this Wednesday, October 7, for our Testimony Meeting. You will hear readings from the Bible as well as the book quoted above—Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures—by Mary Baker Eddy. During the second half of our meeting time is set aside for sharing healings and inspiration, and quiet prayer as well.
We begin at 7:30 pm, in person at Brookdale of Glen Ellyn. You can also join us by Zoom. Everyone is welcome. Feel free to join us tonight or any Wednesday.
