How are we looking at church?

PLEASE NOTE: Tonight’s meeting, October 14, will be by Zoom only.

We welcome all to join us for readings from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy. There will also be time for sharing inspiration and healings during the second half of our meeting. We begin at 7:30 pm by Zoom.

Our topic tonight centers on Mary Baker Eddy’s definition of CHURCH:

CHURCH.  The structure of Truth and Love; whatever rests upon and proceeds from divine Principle.
The church is that institution, which affords proof of it utility and is found elevating the race, rousing the dormant understanding from material beliefs to the apprehension of spiritual ideas  and the demonstration of divine Science, thereby casting our devils, or error, and healing the sick.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, page 583)

This definition sheds a light on church as more than merely a material structure where we go to pray, listen, or worship.

Hope you can join us tonight on Zoom for uplifting ideas about church.
