God's government in action

Many people in the United States and around the world are thinking about national elections at this time. This doesn’t need to stir up strife in our hearts or with our fellow citizens. We can be guided spiritually by zeroing in on God’s infinite, entirely good government and all that it is accomplishing.

So, if you are wondering—how shall I vote?—you can be comforted with these ideas:

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go:
I will guide thee with mine eye.
(Psalm 32:8)

Love inspires, illumines, designates, and leads the way. Right motives give pinions to thought, and strength and freedom to speech and action.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, p. 454)

Join us this Wednesday, October 28, in the Roosevelt Room at Brookdale of Glen Ellyn. Our Testimony Meeting readings are presented first and will focus on God’s spiritual government. There will also be time for sharing inspiration and healings during the second half of our meeting.

We begin at 7:30 pm, in person at Brookdale of Glen Ellyn. Or, you can join us by Zoom. We warmly welcome everyone.

Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, answered this way when she was asked: What are your politics?

I have none, in reality, other than to help support a righteous government; to love God supremely, and my neighbor as myself.
(The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, by Mary Baker Eddy, p. 276)
