How can I keep from singing?

Sing unto him a new song; play skillfully with a loud noise.
Psalms 33:3

Music lifts us, moves and inspires us. The Bible has many stories of people who turned to music after walking through difficulty. David played the harp and brought calm to Saul’s troubled spirit. Miriam lifted a song of victory after Israel crossed the Red Sea. Paul and Silas sang in the darkness of a prison cell.

“Let there be light,” is the perpetual demand of Truth and Love, changing chaos into order and discord into the music of the spheres.

Mental melodies and strains of sweetest music supersede conscious sound. Music is the rhythm of head and heart.

Our Testimony Meeting tonight, July 15, will have readings from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook quoted above. Attendees will have the opportunity to share inspiration and healings. We begin at 7:30 pm, in person at Brookdale of Glen Ellyn. Or, you can join us by Zoom. Come to hear uplifting, healing ideas. We welcome all!

Through all the tumult and the strife
I hear the music ringing;
It finds an echo in my soul
How can I keep from singing?
