A Spiritual Garden

Like a tender spring rain, the Word of God waters, feeds and nurtures us with all we need. The perfect and good ideas of God, governed by His laws and forever expressing infinite Life, are “the seed within itself” as referred to in the book of Genesis.

This passage from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, the discoverer of Christian Science, further describes the spiritual meaning:

The only intelligence or substance of a thought, a seed, or a flower is God, the creator of it. Mind is the Soul of all. Mind is Life, Truth, and Love which governs all.

Genesis i. 12. And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

... The seed within itself is the pure thought emanating from divine Mind.
