"What are ages in Thy sight?"
Hymn 186 in the Christian Science Hymnal asks: “What are ages in Thy sight?”. This New Year’s Eve we can gain an understanding of the spiritual idea of time, including day and year. These are defined spiritually in the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy. The Bible also reveals their spiritual nature in such passages as this from Psalms:
For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night. (Psalms 90:4)
And, this text from Ecclesiastes:
I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him. That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past. (Eccl. 3: 14, 15)
We invite you to join us for our Testimony Meeting on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, to hear readings from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. Attendees will also have the opportunity to share healings and inspiration from their study of Christian Science. The meeting begins at 7:30 pm (Central) in person at Brookdale in Glen Ellyn, IL and also by Zoom.
Begin the New Year in God's Day, “there shall be no night there.”
