Our readings will delve into this topic on Wednesday, January 7, at 7:30 pm. See how these ideas relate to “Epiphany”, the manifestation of Christ to the three kings, celebrated yesterday in many Christian churches. Come join us in person at Brookdale of Glen Ellyn for our weekly Testimony Meeting. You can also attend by Zoom.

The spiritual nature of God’s children was manifested so fully in Jesus. He exemplified the Christ in all that he said and did. The discoverer and founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, elucidates it in these passages:

The divinity of the Christ was made manifest in the humanity of Jesus.
and
God is revealed only in that which reflects Life, Truth, Love, — yea, which manifests God’s attributes and power, even as the human likeness thrown upon the mirror, repeats the color, form, and action of the person in front of the mirror.
(From Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, pages 25 and 300)

In spiritually understanding what Jesus taught, we can rise above the belief that we manifest anything less than good. God’s ideas express Him in the way described by Paul:

... the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. (I Corinthians 12)
